Croatia adopted the euro as its currency on 1 January 2023, becoming the 20th member state of the eurozone.

1, 2 and 5 euro coins the motif of the Glagolitic script depicting letters ''HR'' in the form of ligature.

10; 20 and 50 euro coins the motif features a portrait Nicola Tesla. A presentation of electromagnetic field lines surrounds the portrait.

One Euro Croatia

One euro coins the motif features a wild animal, the marten. Throughout Croatian history, the marten was a simbol of the origins of trade and goods exchange.

2 euro, Croatia

2 euro coins the motif of a geographical map of Croatia with the Croatian checkerboard on the upper right segment of the inner part (the core) of the coin. The bottom left segment of the inner part of the coin features the inscription HRVATSKA.
