Dutch euro coins currently use two designs by Erwin Olaf, both of which feature a portrait of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.
Netherland euro coins
All denominations of coins of the second series show King Willem-Alexander in profile, the son of former Queen Beatrix, with the inscription “Willem-Alexander Koning der Nederlanden” (King of the Netherlands). The designs of the coins of the second series are by Erwin Olaf. The mint marks appear on either side of the year of issuance.
